Finance Department
The finance department consists of the financial officer and the deputy finance officer. The tasks can be divided into three main points: budgeting, financial management and the preparation of the budget report.
The budget is not set up by the finance department alone. Each department draws up an overview of planned expenditure at the beginning of each semester. For that they take into account the budget of the last semesters. The expenses do not all have to be listed individually, unless they are very large individual blocks. The finance department collects the planned expenditures, checks whether the budget funds are available and asks if there is potential for saving potential. Subsequently, a budget is drawn up, which will be adopted by the general assembly of the Hörerschaft.
After the budget has been approved, the money can be spend. The respective speakers submit their bills and the money is refunded to them. In this case, the finance department only comes into contact with the other departments. The only "external contact" exists only at the Länderparties (State Parties). The organizers of the respective Länderparty approach the finance department to obtain a loan to finance the respective party.
