Department for Equal Opportunities

The Equal Opportunities Department deals with the promotion and implementation of equal rights and equality for women, men and all others and performs the corresponding tasks.

Above all, this includes creating awareness in all areas of the university, primarily via the Equal Opportunities Committee and by offering appropriate training.

In addition, the equal opportunities officers, along with other members of the committee, are also contact persons for concerns of the student body in this area. The aim is to create safe spaces for the various student groups.

In addition, the Equal Opportunities Officers are available to the University's Facility Management as student contact persons for everything to do with the newly introduced tampon and pad dispensers. The (re-)ordering of periodproduct to fill the dispensers is a fixed item in the budget of the Equal Opportunities Department.

As the Equal Opportunities Department, we are also committed to gender balance in the course of events organized by the Hoererschaft.
